In 1996, four hundred Konkanis gathered in a hall in New Jersey — a home away from home — united by a shared vision to preserve our Konkani heritage, language, traditions, cuisine, and way of life in North America.
Three decades have passed, and together we have celebrated ten unforgettable Sammelans. Along the way, countless memories have been made. Children have been born, grown up, and are now bringing children of their own — creating a new generation connected by the same roots and traditions.
Now, in 2027, as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of that historic first gathering, the Konkani community of North America comes together once again — for a celebration unlike any before. For the first time in our history, we will celebrate our Pearl Jubilee aboard a cruise ship, creating new memories together as we sail from shore to shore.
This is Pearl Jubilee. This will be the first ever held at sea. We will sail from Cape Liberty, New Jersey, to Halifax, Nova Scotia and return to Cape Liberty, New Jersey. 1,000+ Konkanis. Five days. One ship. One unforgettable experience.

The Pearl Jubilee is a community-funded celebration. Every donation carries our community forward. The names of our donors will be inscribed in the permanent archives of NAKA, woven into this milestone celebration, and remembered again when the Konkani community of North America gathers for the next Sammelan.
Donations fund expenses associated with the Sammelan, including but not limited to: recognizing Konkanis who have made significant contributions to the society through awards, venue rental payments to Royal Caribbean, mementos for attendees, hosting expenses for artists and celebrities, donor incentives, and payments to vendors assisting in cruise event management.

The Pearl Tier is for families and patrons who choose to anchor this Pearl Jubilee — not as attendees, but as Patrons. Pearl sponsors will be remembered when we gather again to celebrate the Golden Jubilee Sammelan.
The Gold Tier carries the Pearl Jubilee forward. Gold patrons are recognized at every major moment of the cruise — from embarkation to closing night.
The Silver Tier is the premier tier of the Pearl Jubilee. Silver sponsors are recognized as community members whose generosity makes this celebration a big success.
The Bronze Tier is the foundation of the Pearl Jubilee. Bronze sponsors are recognized as community members whose contribution makes this celebration possible.
Many of our donors choose to make their sponsorship a tribute. The Pearl Jubilee offers two ways to dedicate your gift, and your dedication will be recognized everywhere your name appears.
Honor a parent, grandparent, mentor, or community elder whose lifetime of contribution to our Konkani community deserves to be celebrated.
Carry forward the memory of a beloved family member or community figure. Their name will be inscribed alongside yours in every recognition.
Sponsorships are confirmed on a first-commitment basis. Pearl and Gold tiers are limited; once filled, additional commitments will be redirected to the next available tier.
